Graduate Students
Graduate applicants are degree-seeking students who, at the time of enrolling in the graduate program, have a conferred bachelor’s degree* from an accredited institution of higher learning.
*Current CSU Pueblo undergraduate students may be admitted to a 3+2 program without a conferred bachelor’s degree after earning 60 undergraduate credit hours. All 3+2 students must submit the online Colorado State University Pueblo graduate application.
Applicants Must Submit:
- An online Colorado State University Pueblo application
- A $35 application fee (non-refundable)
- Official transcripts from all previous institutions of higher learning attended (see Transcript Requirements below).
- A personal statement.
- Specific program requirements. See individual program pages in this Catalog for additional program requirements.
- Additional leveling courses may be required to address undergraduate deficiencies.
All completed graduate applications are reviewed by the individual program director/coordinator. The graduate program director/coordinator has the discretion to admit or deny admission based on the applicant’s potential for success and/or program capacity.
Cumulative 3.0 GPA from Bachelor’s Degree program
Graduate applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (grade-point average) on a 4.0 U.S. scale for bachelor’s degree coursework. Students with less than a 3.0 GPA may be admissible if granted conditional admission by the individual program director/coordinator. Some 3+2 programs require a GPA higher than 3.0. See individual program pages in this Catalog for additional information.
Conditional Admission
Applicants who do not meet minimum requirements may be admitted conditionally. The decision to conditionally admit a graduate student is at the discretion of the individual graduate program director/coordinator. A conditionally admitted student must satisfy all conditions of admission before completing 12 credit hours of graduate coursework.
Transcript Requirements
All graduate students are required to provide official transcripts* from every institution of higher learning attended. This requirement includes transcripts from unaccredited colleges or universities, transcripts for non-transferable coursework and transcripts with incomplete or withdrawn grades. The Office of Admissions requires transcripts from any undisclosed institutions that appear on any transcripts provided. Graduate students with in-progress grades must provide official final transcripts after course completion. Transcripts are only considered official if issued directly to Colorado State University Pueblo by an institution of higher learning or the custodian of the records for a closed institution.
*For students with non-U.S. transcripts: All international documentation must be translated, certified, and authenticated through an approved credentialing agency. For further information regarding this process, refer to the International Students Admission Requirements section of the catalog.
